eQUB App Redesign
Personal UX exploration
Context
A few weeks ago, friends kept asking me to join their eQUB.
There was no real product behind it yet. No app. No system.
Out of curiosity, I searched for an existing eQUB app to understand how the idea was being translated digitally.
The concept itself is strong.
People saving together, built on trust and community.
The execution, however, didn’t reflect that potential.
The interface felt basic, the flow was unclear, and key financial actions lacked clarity.
The problem
The app struggled with:
- Explaining how an eQUB works to first-time users
- Making financial steps feel safe and understandable
- Creating a sense of ownership and participation
The idea was good. The experience wasn’t there yet.
My approach
This was not a client project.
I treated it as a design exercise to explore how the experience could be improved.
I focused on a few core areas:
- Create an eQUB
I redesigned the creation flow to be more visual and easier to understand, with clearer financial details and fewer cognitive jumps. - Dashboard
I reworked the dashboard to feel more personal, giving users a better sense of progress, contribution, and ownership. - Joining flow
I simplified how users join an eQUB, making the steps clearer and more inviting rather than transactional.
Throughout the process, I prioritized clarity, trust, and ease over visual decoration.
Outcome
The result feels more like a product people would actually want to use.
The experience is clearer.
The steps make sense.
And the app better reflects the social and financial trust behind the idea of an eQUB.
