End-to-End Product Design for a Multi-Tenant Restaurant Ecosystem
Goal
Build a scalable SaaS platform that digitizes the dining experience in Ethiopia. The challenge was to design a dual-layered management system: a Super Admin interface for platform oversight and a Merchant Dashboard for restaurant owners to manage menus, branding, and real-time analytics.
Solution
Designed a high-utility, data-driven ecosystem focused on merchant autonomy and operational speed.
- Unified Authentication: A secure, minimalist login experience with role-based redirection for Super Admins (platform level) and Restaurant Owners (store level).
- Super Admin Command Center: A high-level dashboard to onboard new restaurants, manage subscription tiers, and monitor platform-wide growth.
- Merchant Growth Engine: * Menu Architect: An intuitive interface to build nested menus with categories, modifiers, and instant "out-of-stock" toggles.
- Identity Manager: A dedicated branding suite for owners to upload logos, set brand colors, and link social media/contact info.
- Performance Analytics: A visual data page showing menu impressions, popular items, and peak traffic hours to help owners make data-backed decisions.
Results
- Onboarding Speed: Reduced restaurant setup time from hours to minutes with a step-by-step branding and menu wizard.
- Merchant Insights: Empowered owners with "Menu Impression" tracking, leading to better menu optimization and increased high-margin item sales.
